1. When to go

Like many beach destinations in the region, the Desaru beach varies quite a bit according to seasonality. The monsoon falls between November and February. While there are many sunny days during this time, you can never say when it’ll start raining. The time between April and October tends to be the best if you want to have interrupted time outdoors. Make sure you plan your trip based on the activities that you would like to do.

2. Enjoy the beach

As an island, the best thing about Desaru is its beach. The beach there is relatively quiet and peaceful giving you enough time to relax and unwind.  While at the beach you can read a much-awaited book or simply get a nice tan. If you are going with your family they can have a picnic or a BBQ out on the beach. It is a kid-friendly beach since plenty of kids flock over to Desaru each year. The beaches at Desaru also offer a significant variety of activities based on where it is located. Some will have water sports renting shops, others will have small restaurants, etc. During your two-day vacation, spend at least one morning by this beautiful beach.

3. The Desaru Fruit Farm

Among the Desaru attractions, the fruit farm is one that you must visit. It will be a short drive from Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas to get there. The farm boasts of a large variety of tropical fruits that are grown freshly. It is an excellent place to buy fruits and also to eat them. If your kids usually live in a very urban setting, this is a great opportunity to show them how fruits grow in their natural habitat. The staff there will also be willing to show you they nurture and take care of the fruit trees. It can be a very inspiring experience for your kids to learn about the fruits that they might be enjoying every day.

4. Ostrich Wonderland

The Ostrich Wonderland or farm is another popular attraction. There are over 100 Ostriches over there including those that are very elderly. If your kids have never seen Ostriches, this is a great place to interact with them and learn about their behaviour. It is equally interesting for adults who are interested in animals and their behaviour. This can be done as a half-day trip alongside another activity. Make sure to take a lot of pictures if you visit the farm and to learn about the Ostriches and their behaviour as animals from the instructors there.

5.Desaru Coast Adventure Water Park

This will be a great way to end your two-day holiday in Desaru. The waterpark has a range of really exciting activities that you can be a part of. These include rides, slides, and more. There are also calmer water pools that people can use for relaxation. The water park also offers food and resting places. This means that you can spend a few hours here. Your kids will love the experience of going to a water park and you can feel like a child again.
